L'invention porte sur de nouveaux catalyseurs de métathèse représentés par la formule (I), sur un procédé permettant de les fabriquer et sur leur utilisation dans des réactions de métathèse telles que la fermeture de cycle par métathèse ou la métathèse croisée. L'invention porte en outre sur un procédé pour la fabrication d'un composé macrocyclique représenté par la formule (VII) qui est potentiellement utile comme inhibiteur de protéases du VHC.
