An aqueous antiseptic composition for eliminating microorganisms that cause Bovine mastitis in dairy animals is disclosed. The composition comprises about 10 to 50% by volume of lemongrass oil and at least one solubilizing agent for solubilizing the lemongrass oil. The composition also comprises about 10 to 30% by volume of a carrier oil carrying the components of the composition and about 0.5 to 2% by volume of an electrolyte for providing conductivity for the composition. The composition further comprises an organic acid for adjusting the pH level of the composition and an antioxidant. L'invention porte sur une composition antiseptique aqueuse pour éliminer des microorganismes qui provoquent une mastite bovine chez des animaux laitiers. La composition comprend environ 10 à 50 % en volume d'essence de citronnelle et au moins un agent de solubilisation pour solubiliser l'essence de citronnelle. La composition comprend également environ 10 à 30 % en volume d'une huile support servant de véhicule aux composants de la composition et environ 0,5 à 2 % en volume d'un électrolyte pour fournir une conductivité à la composition. La composition comprend en outre un acide organique pour ajuster le niveau du pH de la composition et un anti-oxydant.
