Summary:Certain aryl-hydroxyethylamino-pyrimidine and triazine compounds are described, which are useful as FAAH inhibitors. Such compounds may be used in pharmaceutical compositions and methods for the treatment of disease states, disorders, and conditions mediated by fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) activity, such as anxiety, pain, inflammation, sleep disorders, eating disorders, energy metabolism disorders, and movement disorders (e.g., multiple sclerosis). Methods of synthesizing such compounds are also disclosed. L'invention porte sur certains composés aryl-hydroxyéthylamino-pyrimidines et triazines, qui sont utiles en tant qu'inhibiteurs d'amide d'acide gras hydrolase (FAAH). De tels composés peuvent être utilisés dans des compositions pharmaceutiques et des procédés pour le traitement d'états de maladie, de troubles et d'états à médiation par l'activité amide d'acide gras hydrolase (FAAH), tels que l'anxiété, la douleur, une inflammation, les troubles du sommeil, les troubles de l'alimentation, les troubles du métabolisme énergétique et des troubles du mouvement (par exemple, la sclérose en plaques).
