L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un composé de formule (I), où X, R1, R2, R7, R8 et R9 sont comme définis dans la description. L'invention concerne également les étapes de processus utilisées dans le procédé ainsi que les nouveaux intermédiaires préparés pendant ledit procédé. Des composés de formule (I) sont utilisés dans la préparation de composés pharmaceutiques, en particulier d'inhibiteurs de MEK, utiles dans le traitement d'une maladie hyperproliférative comme le cancer et les affections inflammatoires.
