Summary: | An arcuate nitinol splint (10, 40, 50) with a rounded cross-section has two ends facing each other and spaced from each other. The splint is advanced through the mouth into the esophagus by an introducer device. By means of the device the splint is implanted completely into the wall of the esophageal sphincter to strengthen the sphincter. Materials other than Nitinol may be used.
Une attelle arquée en Nitinol (10, 40, 50) possédant une section transversale arrondie comporte deux extrémités se faisant face l'une à l'autre et espacée l'une de l'autre. L'attelle est avancée à travers la bouche dans l'oeophage par un dispositif introducteur. Grâce au dispositif, l'attelle est implantée complètement dans la paroi du sphincter oeophagien pour renforcer le sphincter. Des matériaux différents du Nitinol peuvent être utilisés. |
