Summary:An invasive medical device (20) includes a fluid path of microbubbles (26) which is imaged by ultrasound during use of the device. The fluid path extends through the device, preferably to the distal end of the device, so that the diffuse reflection of ultrasound from the microbubbles can be received to image the location of the device. The fluid path can be open, terminating at the tip of the device, or can be' a closed path of a circulating microbubble fluid used for imaging and/or cooling. L'invention concerne un dispositif médical invasif qui comprend un trajet de fluide de microbulles qui est visualisé par ultrasons pendant l'utilisation du dispositif. Le trajet de fluide passe à travers le dispositif, de préférence depuis l'extrémité distale du dispositif, de façon à ce que la réflexion diffuse des ultrasons, provenant des microbulles, puisse être reçue afin de visualiser la localisation du dispositif. Le trajet de fluide peut être ouvert, se terminant à la pointe du dispositif, ou il peut s'agir d'un trajet fermé d'un fluide à microbulles en circulation utilisé pour la visualisation et/ou le refroidissement.
