Disclosed is a heat-sensitive recording material wherein a heat-sensitive recording layer which develops a color by heat and a protective layer for the recording layer are sequentially formed on a supporting body in this order. This heat-sensitive recording material is characterized in that the protective layer is obtained by applying an aqueous coating liquid containing a polyvinyl alcohol, a crosslinking agent, a pigment, an Arrhenius acid and a volatile amine over the heat-sensitive recording layer and drying the coating liquid on the recording layer. La présente invention concerne un matériau d'enregistrement sensible à la chaleur, une couche d'enregistrement sensible à la chaleur qui développe une couleur sous l'effet de la chaleur et une couche de protection de la couche d'enregistrement étant séquentiellement formée sur un corps de support dans cet ordre.
