Summary:Borehole instruments are powered by AC instrument power transmitted on all three phases of a power cable concurrently carrying three phase motor power, the instrument power transmitted at a multiple of the motor power frequency and having a corresponding fraction of the motor power voltage, and received via a capacitive coupling sufficient to withstand high-voltage cable insulation testing. The phase-to-neutral motor power provides approximately the same power level to the borehole instruments if a phase shorts to ground. Selon l'invention, des instruments de trou de forage sont alimentés par une alimentation en courant alternatif transmise sur les trois phases d'un câble d'alimentation transportant simultanément une alimentation de moteur triphasé, l'alimentation des instruments étant transmise à un multiple de la fréquence d'alimentation du moteur et présentant une fraction correspondante de la tension d'alimentation du moteur, et reçue par l'intermédiaire d'un couplage capacitif suffisant pour résister à des essais d'isolation de câbles haute tension. L'alimentation du moteur phase-à-neutre fournit approximativement le même niveau d'alimentation aux instruments de trou de forage si une phase connaît un court-circuit à la terre.
