A browser control method for acquiring an information content stored in a predetermined location of a network is displayed on a terminal. The method comprises a step of receiving specification of position information representing the location where the information content is stored through the browser, a step of acquiring the information content specified by the position information from a content server corresponding to the position information, and a preference changing step of changing the preference of the browser in accordance with the control data corresponding to the position information and making displayable the information content which cannot be displayed through the browser with the preference before the change.
