La présente invention porte sur un nouveau procédé de préparation de sulfoxydes, de préférence de préparation stéréo sélective de dérivés sulfinylés chiraux, substitués ou non substitués, 2-(2- pyridylméthyl) sulfinyl-lH-benzimidazole, par oxydation avec l'oxaziridine en présence d'un solvant approprié et d'une base appropriée.
