Various embodiments of the present invention provide a touch-screen user interface system for a dishwasher. In one aspect, the system includes an illuminated display operably engaged with a door of the dishwasher having a plurality of touch-responsive surfaces associated therewith, and a cover operably engaged with the illuminated display so as to enclose the illuminated display in a substantially fluid-tight arrangement and such that each of the plurality of touch- responsive surfaces are visible and accessible to a user of the dishwasher via the cover. Various embodiments of the present invention also provide a method of manufacturing an integrally-formed lens member and console member for such a touch-screen user interface system.
