The present invention also relates to the preparation of candesartan cilexetil and pharmaceutical composition comprising candesartan cilexetil. L'invention porte sur le 1-(cyclohéxyloxycarbonyloxy)éthyl 1-((2'-cyanobiphényl-4-yl)méthyl)-2-éthoxy-1h-benzo[d]imidazole-7-carboxylate sous forme cristalline et sur son procédé de préparation, ledit intermédiaire étant utile dans la préparation du candesartan cilexetil. L'invention porte aussi sur la préparation dudit candesartan cilexetil et d'une composition pharmaceutique contenant ledit candesartan cilexetil.
