Summary:A system (10) and method (50) for controlling the transmission power of a node (14) that includes at least one base station (12), at least one node (14), a sensor (16), and a control unit (20). The node (14) is in communication with the base station (12). The sensor (16) is integrated with each of the nodes (14), wherein the sensor (16) collects data that includes at least the amount of combustible material (18) proximate to the node (14). The control unit (20) is integrated with each node (14) and configures the transmission power of each of the nodes (14) based upon the data collected by the sensor (16). Système (10) et procédé (50) de commande de la puissance de transmission d'un noed (14) comprenant au moins une station de base (12), au moins un noed (14), un capteur (16), et une unité de commande (20). Le noed (14) est en communication avec la station de base (12). Le capteur (16) est intégré à chacun des noeds (14), le capteur (16) collectant des données comprenant au moins la quantité de matériau combustible (18) à proximité du noed (14). L'unité de commande (20) est intégrée à chaque noed (14) et configure la puissance de transmission de chacun des noeds (14) en se basant sur les données collectées par le capteur (16).
