The invention relates to a colourant composition comprising in a weight ratio of from 99:1 to 10:90, preferably a weight ratio of from 95:5 to 30:70, particularly preferred a weight ratio of from 95:5 to 50:50, a pigment of average particle size from 10 to 200nm and a 1- or 2-phenylthio-substituted anthraquinones of greenish-yellow colour hue, lacking electron-rich N( III), O( II) and further S( II) substituents on the anthraquinone ring. The compositions are particularly useful in patterned colour filters. Compounds wherein the 1- or 2-phenylthio group is substituted by SOR10, SO2R10, SO3R10, SO2NR11R12, CN, COR10, COOR10 or CONR11R12, or the anthraquinone group is substituted by SO2NR11R12are also claimed, with a few exceptions. The invention also relates to a compound of Formula (III) or (IV), wherein at least one of R1, R2and R3is SOR10, SO2R10, SO3R10, SO2NR11R12, CN or COR10, or at least one of R7, R8 and R9 is SO2NR11R12, with the proviso that R3 is not SO2NH2. La présente invention concerne une composition colorante qui comprend, suivant un rapport en poids compris entre 99:1 et 10:90, compris de préférence entre 95:5 et 30:70, et compris, plus préférablement encore, entre 95:5 et 50:50, un pigment d'une grosseur particulaire moyenne comprise entre 10 et 200 nm et certaines anthraquinones à substitution phénylthio 1 ou 2 d'une tonalité chromatique verdâtre-jaune, dépourvue de N( III) riche en électrons, O( II) et d'autres substituants S( II) sur l'anneau anthraquinone. Ces compositions sont particulièrement utiles dans les filtres couleurs structurés. Cette invention porte également sur des composés dans lesquels le groupe 1- ou 2-phénylthio est substitué par SOR10, SO2R10, SO3R10, SO2NR11R12, CN, COR10, COOR10 ou CONR11R12, ou bien le groupe anthraquinone est substitué par SO2NR11R12 avec quelques exceptions. Cette invention concerne également un composé représenté par la formule (III) ou (IV), dans laquelle au moins un élément parmi R1, R2 et R3 représente SOR10, SO2R10, SO3R10, SO2NR11R12, CN ou COR10, ou bien au moins un des éléments parmi R7, R8 et R9représente SO2NR11R12, à condition que R3 ne représente pas SO2NH2.
