A method for making a powder metallurgical cutting bit body (22) that includes the steps of: providing a powder mixture; pressing the powder mixture into a green cutting bit body compact having a partial density; and consolidating the green body to form the powder metallurgical cutting bit body (22). La présente invention concerne un corps de trépan tranchant (22) qui fait partie d'un trépan tranchant (20) qui comprend un insert dur (24) qui est fixé au corps de trépan tranchant (22), le trépan tranchant (20) entrant en contact avec les couches de la terre. Le corps de trépan tranchant (24) est un élément de corps oblong de métallurgie des poudres.
