Disclosed are a novel method for detecting an inflammatory disease and a novel composition for the prevention or treatment of an inflammatory disease. A method for detecting an inflammatory disease using RANKL and/or OPG in a biological sample as a marker; and a composition for the prevention or treatment of an inflammatory disease comprising RANKL and/or M-CSF as an active ingredient. L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé permettant de détecter une maladie inflammatoire et une nouvelle composition destinée à la prévention ou au traitement d'une maladie inflammatoire. L'invention concerne également un procédé destiné à détecter une maladie inflammatoire à l'aide du ligand RANK (RANKL) et/ou de l'ostéoprotégérine (OPG) en tant que marqueurs dans un échantillon biologique, ainsi qu'une composition destinée à la prévention ou au traitement d'une maladie inflammatoire, la composition contenant le RANKL et/ou le M-CSF comme principe actif.
