Summary:A method and an apparatus for determining the total peroxide content of a cellulose pulp suspension in the pulp suspension bleaching stage, wherein the bleaching chemical is peroxide. A sample is taken from the pulp suspension, which sample is measured in a measuring device (25, 25'). Before measuring, the pH of the sample is adjusted and after that the total peroxide content or the perhydroxyl content of the sample is measured, of which measurement the total peroxide content of the sample is determined. La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil destinés à déterminer la teneur totale en peroxyde d'une suspension de pâte de cellulose à l'étape de blanchiment de la suspension de pâte, où le produit chimique de blanchiment est un peroxyde. On prélève un échantillon dans la suspension de pâte, lequel échantillon est examiné dans un dispositif de mesure (25, 25'). Avant la mesure, on ajuste le pH de l'échantillon, après quoi l'on mesure la teneur totale en peroxyde ou la teneur en perhydroxyle de l'échantillon, grâce à quoi l'on détermine la teneur totale en peroxyde de l'échantillon.
