The present invention relates to a method of measuring cell migration, the method comprising (a) contacting a cell with a plurality of polystyrene non-fluorescent beads so as to generate a migratory track; and (b) analyzing at least one morphometric parameter of said migratory track, the morphomotric parameter being indicative of cell migration. The present invention also relates to methods of treating a medical condition associated with cell migration, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of an agent capable of modulating the activity or expression of genes identified using the above assay, thereby treating the medical condition associated with cell migration. La présente invention concerne un procédé de mesure de migration cellulaire, le procédé consistant : (a) à mettre en contact une cellule avec une pluralité de billes non fluorescentes de polystyrène de manière à générer un trajet migratoire; et (b) à analyser au moins un paramètre morphométrique dudit trajet migratoire, le paramètre morphométrique indiquant une migration cellulaire. La présente invention concerne également des procédés de traitement d'un état pathologique associé à une migration cellulaire, le procédé consistant à administrer à un sujet le nécessitant, une quantité therapeutiquement efficace d'un agent pouvant moduler l'activité ou l'expression de gènes identifiés à l'aide de l'analyse susmentionnée, ce qui permet ainsi de traiter l'état pathologique associé à une migration cellulaire.
