The image data is then labeled according to sections of the colon separated by the locations (36, 38, 40). La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil qui permettent d'identifier automatiquement des angles du côlon. Le procédé consiste à traiter des données (52) d'images de la ligne médiane en vue de déterminer la courbure de la ligne médiane au niveau de plusieurs endroits et à identifier les endroits (36, 38, 40) ayant un rayon de courbure moins important qui correspondent aux angles du côlon. Les données d'images sont ensuite marquées en fonction des sections du côlon séparées par les endroits prédéterminés (36, 38, 40).
