The present invention relates to the medical use of compounds acting as inhibitors of enzymes having histone deacetylase activity in conditions where their combination with compounds known as NSAID´s, Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs, causes an enhanced beneficial therapeutic effect. These conditions comprise cancer, cancer predisposing conditions, inflammatory and metabolic diseases. Furthermore, the invention includes the manufacture of clinically used medicaments for the therapy of the diseases mentioned herein, administering the compounds separately in the form of two individual drugs or in an administrative form which contains both drugs in a single application unit. L'invention concerne l'utilisation médicale de composés agissant comme inhibiteurs d'enzymes ayant une activité d'histone désacétylase dans des états dans lesquels la combinaison de ceux-ci avec des composés appelés NSAID, soit des médicaments anti-inflammatoires non stéroïdaux, produit un effet thérapeutique bénéfique amélioré. On peut citer parmi ces états : le cancer, des prédispositions au cancer, des maladies inflammatoires et métaboliques. De plus, l'invention concerne la fabrication de médicaments utilisés sur le plan clinique aux fins de traitement de maladies susmentionnées, l'administration des composés de manière distincte sous la forme de deux médicaments individuels ou sous une forme d'administration dans laquelle les deux médicaments sont renfermés dans une seule unité d'application.
