Summary: | As a result of a large scale SNP analysis on a group of Perkinson disease patients and a control group of normal persons, it has succeeded in the identification of a gene involved in Perkinson disease (GRK5). It is now found that the increase in the expression of the GRK5 gene induces the enhancement of the phosphorylation of a-synuclein, which in turn induces the enhancement of the formation of a soluble a-synuclein oligomer, leading to the development of Perkinson disease. It becomes possible to diagnose Perkinson disease and screen a therapeutic agent for Perkinson disease by using the expression of the GRK5 gene.
A la suite d'une analyse SNP à grande échelle sur un groupe de patients atteints de la maladie de Parkinson et sur un groupe de contrôle de personnes normales, on a identifié avec succès un gène impliqué dans la maladie de Parkinson (GRK5). On sait maintenant que l'augmentation de l'expression du gène GRK5 induit la facilitation de la phosphorylation de l'a-synucléine, qui à son tour induit la facilitation de la formation d'un oligomère d'a-synucléine soluble, menant au développement de la maladie de Parkinson. Il devient possible de diagnostiquer la maladie de Parkinson et de cribler un agent thérapeutique pour la maladie de Parkinson en utilisant l'expression du gène GRK5. |
