A lifting-type storage device having a draining rack (storage rack)(2) provided in an opening (5) for lifting formed in a part of a counter of a floor cabinet (1) for kitchen, and having a lifting mechanism (6) for lowering the draining rack (2) to a storage space (14) below the counter and lifting the draining rack (2) above the counter. The lifting-type storage device has foreign object detection sections (38, 39) for detecting that a foreign object is present in the vicinity of the opening (5) for lifting, and has a foreign object detection stop section (control box)(40) for stopping lifting and lowering operation of the draining rack (2) when the foreign object detection sections (38, 39) detect a foreign object. The construction prevents a failure occurring when the lifting mechanism (6) locks to be in an inoperable state or when a foreign object is caught to cause overloading (overcurrent) and other trouble. La construction évite une panne se produisant lorsque le mécanisme de levage (6) se verrouille en un état de non-fonctionnement ou qu'un objet étranger est saisi qui provoquera une surcharge (surintensité) ou un autre dysfonctionnement.
