L'invention concerne un procédé de réalisation de surfaces nanostructurées, qui consiste à: a) préparer un mélange aqueux constitué i) d'une phase discontinue contenant un polymère soluble dans l'eau, ii) d'une phase continue contenant un matériau chromonique, et iii) d'un tensioactif non-ionique; b) appliquer le mélange sur la surface d'un substrat; et c) laisser sécher le mélange.
