Summary:Methods and systems for IMEI registration are provided. In accordance with exemplary embodiments of the present invention, when an IMEI registration fails due to a network failure, the mobile station implements a back-off algorithm for future IMEI registration attempts. Specifically, the present invention provides a back-off algorithm which determines a different amount of time for the time period between each unsuccessful IMEI registration. L'invention porte sur des procédés et des systèmes d'enregistrement IMEI. Conformément avec des modes de réalisation représentatifs de l'invention, lorsqu'un enregistrement IMEI échoue en raison d'un échec de réseau, la station mobile met en place un algorithme d'attente en vue des tentatives d'enregistrement IMEI ultérieures. Plus précisément, cette invention porte sur un algorithme d'attente qui détermine une durée différente de temps pour la période située entre chaque échec d'enregistrement IMEI.
