The enantiomerically enriched ester/acid has a remote and quarternary chiral center. The process of the invention is particularly suitable for the preparation of enantiomerically enriched 5,6-dihydro-4-hydroxy-2-pyrones, which are important building docks for the synthesis of a number of pharmaceutically active compounds. L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un ester enrichi énantiomériquement ou son acide correspondant par conversion enzymatique du mélange correspondant d'énantiomères. L'ester ou l'acide enrichi énantiomériquement possède un centre chiral distant et quaternaire. Le procédé de l'invention est particulièrement utile dans la préparation de 5,6-dihydro-4-hydroxy-2-pyrones enrichis énantiomériquement, qui consiste en des blocs de construction importants pour la synthèse d'un certain nombre de composés actifs sur le plan pharmaceutique.
