L'invention porte sur une nouvelle utilisation de R,S- et/ou S-hydroprène dans la préparation d'une composition ayant une activité ovicide contre les poux de tête. De préférence, la composition contient également un agent adulticide tel que le malathion, le pyrèthre naturel ou le pyréthroïde synthétique. L'invention porte également sur la composition obtenue et sur le procédé d'élimination des poux de tête au moyen de ladite composition.
