The invention provides preventive or therapeutic agents for hyperphosphatemia which are easily administrable and do not cause disease due to the absorption or accumulation of inorganic salts of aluminum, calcium, magnesium and so on, constipation, perforation of intestine, ileus, or other adverse effects. Preventive or therapeutic agents for hyperphosphatemia containing as the active ingredient compounds represented by the general formula (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof: (I) wherein R and R are each independently alkyl, allyl, or aryl; R is hydrogen or methyl; R is C1-5 alkoxy; k is an integer of 1 to 6; and m and n are each an integer of 1 or above with the proviso that the m/n ratio is 0.5 to 5. L'invention fournit des agents préventifs ou thérapeutiques pour l'hyperphosphatémie qui peuvent être facilement administrés et ne provoquent pas de maladie due à l'absorption ou à l'accumulation de sels inorganiques d'aluminium, de calcium, de magnésium etc., de constipation, de perforation de l'intestin, d'occlusion intestinale ni autres effets défavorables. Les agents préventifs ou thérapeutiques pour l'hyperphosphatémie contiennent comme ingrédients actifs des composés représentés par la formule générale (I) ou des sels pouvant être acceptés en termes pharmaceutiques de celle-ci : formule (I) dans laquelle R et R sont chacun un alkyle indépendant, un allyle ou un aryle, R est de l'hydrogène, R est un C1-5 alkoxy, k est un nombre entier de 1 à 6 et m et n sont chacun un nombre entier valant 1 ou plus, avec la réserve que le rapport m/n soit de 0,5 à 5.
