L'invention porte sur des inhibiteurs d'absorption du cholestérol de formule (I) et sur leurs sels et esters pharmacocompatibles. Lesdits composés s'avèrent utiles pour abaisser les niveaux plasmiques des cholestérols, et en particulier du cholestérol LDL, et traiter et prévenir l'athérosclérose et les troubles athérosclérotiques.
