Summary:Disclosed are an apparatus, system and method for purifying exhaust gases from internal combustion engines which enable to remove PM and various noxious chemicals such as NOx, SOx, HC, CO and CO2 from the exhaust gases at the same time. An apparatus (6a) for purifying exhaust gases from internal combustion engines comprises a filter main body (90). The filter main body (90) comprises a first port (74) for introducing an exhaust gas, a second port (84) for discharging the exhaust gas, a first filter (92) which is arranged closer to the first port (74) than to the second port (84), a second filter (94) which is arranged closer to the second port (84) than to the first port (74), and a space (96) arranged between the first filter (92) and the second filter (94).
