A variant of enterotoxin B elaborated by Staphylococcus aureus (SEB) being resistant to protease and having lowered toxicity; and a vaccine comprising the SEB variant. In particular, an SEB variant having an amino acid sequence corresponding to the SEQ ID NO. 1 having its 97th lysine or 98th lysine replaced by an arbitrary amino acid, or derivative of the variant; and a vaccine comprising the SEB variant or derivative thereof. La présente invention concerne une variante de l'entérotoxine B du staphylocoque doré ou "SEB" (pour "Enterotoxin B elaborated by Staphylococcus aureus") résistant aux protéases et présentant une toxicité atténuée. L'invention concerne également un vaccin comprenant la variante de SEB. Il s'agit en l'espèce d'une variante de SEB présentant une séquence d'acides aminés correspondant au SEQ ID NO. 1 dont la 97<ème> ou la 98<ème> lysine est remplacée par un acide aminé pris au hasard, ou un dérivé de la variante. L'invention concerne enfin également un vaccin comprenant la variante de SEB ou l'un de ses dérivés.
