A steam heating cooker, comprising an external circulation passage on the outside of a heating chamber for storing a heated material therein. An air blower sucks gas in the heating chamber, and air flow for re-circulating the sucked gas to the heating chamber is formed in the external circulation passage. In the external circulation passage, an exhaust port is formed on the downstream side of the air blower, and a damper is installed in the exhaust port. The damper closes the exhaust port in cooking, and opens the exhaust port when the door of the heating chamber is opened. After the damper is displaced to an exhaust port opening position, the air blower continues to operate until specified requirements are satisfied. Un ventilateur aspire les gaz de la chambre et le flux de recirculation des gaz aspirés traverse le susdit passage lequel comporte en aval un orifice d'évacuation muni d'un amortisseur qui le ferme pendant la cuisson, l'ouvre lorsque la chambre de cuisson est ouverte, et le maintient en position d'ouverture jusqu'à ce que certaines conditions soient satisfaites.
