L'invention concerne des N-aryl- ou N-hétéroarylformamides préparés par hydrogénation d'un nitroarène ou nitrohétéroarène correspondant avec de l'acide formique et/ou du formate d'ammonium en tant que donneur d'hydrogène et un agent de formylation en présence d'au moins un catalyseur d'hydrogénation à base de métal noble et d'un composé vanadium ou molybdène en tant que cocatalyseur.
