Grâce à ce premier et second sous-système, la distance sur laquelle chacun doit se déplacer diminue par rapport aux ensembles d'éjection conventionnels. Cela permet l'utilisation de ressorts de compression plus courts, et par conséquent évite ou réduit le flambement de ressort.
