An ink−jet recording liquid containing a dye and a pigment. It has excellent dispersion and has satisfactory suitability for printing and storage stability. The ink−jet recording liquid comprises an aqueous medium and incorporated therein a pigment, a dye, and a surfactant, and is characterized in that (1) the pigment and dye at least partly comprise a pigment and a dye reversibly adsorbed thereon without involving a chemical reaction, (2) the dye reversibly adsorbed on the pigment without involving a chemical reaction comprises one having a dye adsorption shown by the following equation (I) of 0.02 g g or more, and (3) the surfactant comprises a combination of a nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant. La présente invention se rapporte à un liquide d'impression par jet d'encre contenant un colorant et un pigment. Ce liquide se présente sous forme d'une excellente dispersion, il s'avère satisfaisant pour l'impression et possède une bonne stabilité au stockage. Ce liquide d'impression par jet d'encre comprend un milieu aqueux auquel sont incorporés un pigment, un colorant et un tensioactif. Il se caractérise en ce que (1) le pigment et le colorant comprennent au moins partiellement un pigment et un colorant adsorbé de manière réversible sur ledit pigment sans qu'intervienne aucune réaction chimique, (2) le colorant adsorbé de manière réversible sur le pigment sans qu'intervienne aucune réaction chimique comprend 0,02 g/g ou plus d'un colorant ayant un coefficient d'adsorption représenté par l'équation (I), et (3) le tensioactif comprend une combinaison d'un tensioactif non ionique et d'un tensioactif anionique.
