Summary:The invention concerns a master cylinder comprising a body (12) delimiting primary (14) and secondary (16) pressure chambers separated by an axially mobile piston (22), called secondary piston, means (28) for hydraulic connection between the primary pressure chamber (14) and braking force simulating means (30), and complementary mobile (32) and fixed means for closing the hydraulic connection means (28). The mobile (32) and fixed (34) closure means are borne respectively by the secondary piston (22) and the body (12). The secondary piston (22) is axially mobile between a neutral position, wherein the complementary closure means (32, 34) are spaced apart from each other and a co-operating position of said complementary closure means (32, 34). The secondary piston (22) comprises two parts (22P, 22D) axially mobile relative to each other to adjust the relative axial position of the mobile (32) and fixed (34) closure means when the secondary piston (22) is in neutral position.
