Summary: | The present invention relates to newly identified nucleic acid molecules and polypeptides present in normal and neoplastic colon cells, including fragments, variants and derivatives of the nucleic acids and polypeptides. The present invention also relates to antibodies to the polypeptides of the invention, as well as agonists and antagonists of the polypeptides of the invention. The invention also relates to compositions containing the nucleic acid molecules, polypeptides, antibodies, agonists and antagonists of the invention and methods for the use of these compositions. These uses include identifying, diagnosing, monitoring, staging, imaging and treating colon cancer and non-cancerous disease states in colon, identifying colon tissue, monitoring and identifying and/or designing agonists and antagonists of polypeptides of the invention. The uses also include gene therapy, production of transgenic animals and cells, and production of engineered colon tissue for treatment and research.
L'invention concerne des molécules d'acides nucléiques et des polypeptides récemment identifiés, présents dans les cellules normales et néoplasiques du côlon, notamment des fragments, des variants et des dérivés de ces acides nucléiques et de ces polypeptides. L'invention concerne également des anticorps, ainsi que des agonistes et des antiagonistes desdits polypeptides. L'invention concerne également des compositions contenant lesdites molécules d'acides nucléiques, lesdits polypeptides, lesdits anticorps, lesdits agonistes et lesdits antiagonistes ainsi que les procédés d'utilisation de ces compositions. Ces utilisations consistent à identifier, diagnostiquer, contrôler, déterminer un stade, imager et traiter le cancer du côlon et les états pathologiques non cancéreux dans des tissus du côlon, identifier des tissus du côlon, contrôler et identifier et/ou élaborer des antagonistes ou des polypeptides selon l'invention. Ces utilisations comprennent également la thérapie génique, la production d'animaux et de cellules transgéniques, et la production de tissus du côlon mis au point à des fins de recherche et de traitement. |
