A novel polymerizable composition which has radiopacity and excellent transparency; a cured object obtained from the composition; and a composite material containing particles obtained by pulverizing the cured object. The polymerizable composition comprises (A) an inorganic oxide having radiopacity and an average particle diameter of 100 nm or smaller, (B) a surface modifier, (C) a polymerizable compound, and (D) a polymerization initiator. The cured object is obtained by polymerizing these ingredients. L'invention concerne une nouvelle composition polymérisable radio-opaque présentant une excellente transparence; un objet durci obtenu à partir de cette composition; et un matériau composite contenant des particules obtenues par pulvérisation dudit objet durci. La composition polymérisable comprend: a) un oxyde inorganique radio-opaque présentant un diamètre des particules d'au plus 100 nm; b) un modificateur de surface; c) un composé polymérisable; et d) un amorceur de polymérisation. Ledit objet durci est obtenu par polymérisation de ces ingrédients.
