La présente invention concerne des méthodes qui permettent de déterminer la vulnérabilité d'un patient aux maladies vasculaires en fonction de la présence de chlamydia infectée par le bactériophage PHI Cpn1, et des compositions destinées à être utilisées dans de telles méthodes. Les compositions comprennent des protéines de bactériophage PHI Cpn1 et des acides nucléiques, des corps élémentaires provenant de chlamydia infectée par PHI Cpn1, et des anticorps correspondants.
