Summary: | A recoil-attenuating system for a gun having a barrel (10) and breech assembly (12) slidably mounted on a supporting carriage (38,90), the system using combustion gases at an early stage in the firing action to drive a piston (30) in a cylinder (34) which in turn is connected to a fluid-damped attenuator (40) connected between the barrel and the supporting structure. The system allows a considerable reduction in weight of the entire gun structure.
L'invention concerne un système atténuateur du recul d'un fusil ayant un canon (10) et un ensemble de la culasse (12) montés coulissants sur un chariot intermédiaire (38, 90). Ledit système utilise les gaz de combustion à un stade précoce de la mise à feu pour entraîner un piston (30) dans un cylindre (34), lequel est relié à un atténuateur (40) amorti par un fluide relié entre le canon et la structure portante. Ledit système permet de réduire considérablement le poids de l'ensemble de la structure de fusil. |
