Stable astaxanthin-containing powdery compositions which are obtained by drying a suspension comprising ground astaxanthin-containing (Hematococcus) algae, a surfactant, an antioxidant, a filler and water. Thus, it is possible to provide astaxanthin-containing powdery compositions wherein astaxanthin contained in (Hematococcus) algae has been stabilized and its storage stability over a long time has been improved. Moreover, these powdery compositions have high fluidity as a powder, can be easily handled and can be easily extracted with a solvent without degrading astaxanthin. L'invention concerne des compositions pulvérulentes à base d'astaxanthine obtenues par le séchage d'une suspension contenant Hematococcus algae renfermant de l'astaxanthine moulue, un tensioactif, un antioxydant, une charge et de l'eau. On peut en outre obtenir des compositions à base d'astaxanthine dans lesquelles l'astaxanthine contenue dans Hematococcus algae est stabilisée ; la stabilité de conservation prolongée de ces compositions ayant été améliorée. Par ailleurs, ces compositions pulvérulentes présentent une forte fluidité comparable à celle des poudres, et peuvent être facilement manipulées ou extraites avec un solvant sans dégrader l'astaxanthine.
