La présente invention concerne de l'acide 2-méthylindole-4-acétique, représenté par la formule (I), qui est un produit intermédiaire d'un dérivé d'indole important en médecine, ainsi que son procédé de production. Ce procédé permet de produire de l'acide 2-méthylindole-4-acétique, produit intermédiaire d'un dérivé d'indole important en médecine, avec un haut rendement, à partir de réactifs bon marché, dans des conditions douces, adaptées à une production industrielle.
