An automated peritoneal dialysis system (A) for performing continuous preritoneal dialysis is disclosed which includes a supply (B) of unsterilized dialysate for supplying large volumes of dialysate on demand and a fluid circuit for delivering dialysate from the supply to the patient's peritoneal cavity and draining spent dialysate from the periotoneal cavity. A dialysate sterilization component (C) includes at least one in-line sterilization filter assembly (E, F) disposed in the inflow line segment for real time sterilization of the unsterilized dialysate during flow of dialysate prior to patient delivery. A filter test component (D) is operatively associated with the sterilization filter assembly (E, F) for conducting a real time integrity test on the filter assembly (E, F) to test for a filter failure which would allow contaminants into the dialysate prior to patient delivery. L'invention concerne un système (A) automatique de dialyse péritonéale, destiné à réaliser une dialyse péritonéale continue, comprenant une alimentation (B) de dialysat non stérile permettant d'obtenir de grands volumes de dialysat sur demande, un circuit de liquide faisant circuler le dialysat de la source à la cavité péritonéale du patient et drainant le dialysat épuisé de la cavité péritonéale. Un composant (C) de stérilisation de dialysat comprend au moins un assemblage (E, F) de filtre stérilisant en ligne, disposé dans le segment d'alimentation du patient en dialysat, afin de stériliser le dialysat en temps réel avant son administration au patient. Un composant (D) de test de filtre est associé de manière opératoire à l'assemblage (E, F) de filtre stérilisant afin de mener, en temps réel, un test d'intégrité sur cet assemblage (E, F) par recherche de défaut de filtration qui permettrait le passage de contaminants dans le dialysat avant son administration au patient.
