The present invention provides a process for heat treatment of non-woven composite elastic material comprising a non-woven elastic layer; and a non-woven gatherable layer. The process comprises stretching the material, heating the material and cooling the material. The material has a softer more cloth like feel. L'invention concerne un procédé comprenant un traitement thermique d'une matière élastique composite non tissée comprenant une couche élastique non tissée et une couche non tissée pouvant être froncée. Ce procédé consiste à tendre le matériau, à le chauffer puis à le refroidir. Ce matériau présente un toucher plus doux, de type textile.
