A method is provided for removing citrate, aluminum, and other multivalent ions and contaminants from proteins by adjusting the pH of a solution containing the protein to a pH from about 7 to about 10, and diafiltering the pH-adjusted solution against aqueous solutions which have a low level of ions. L'invention porte sur une méthode consistant à éliminer le citrate, l'aluminium et d'autres ions et contaminants multivalents contenus dans des protéines en ajustant le pH d'une solution contenant la protéine à une valeur d'environ 7 à environ 10, et en procédant à la diafiltration de la solution au pH ajusté contre des solutions aqueuses possédant un faible taux d'ions.
