A method for preventing a computer mouse (60) from falling off a mouse pad (80) includes attaching at least one magnet (70) to the underside of the mouse (60), and placing and using the mouse (60) on top of a metallic mouse pad (80). L'invention concerne un support destiné à un appareil informatique, comportant un plateau fixé à un support moulable conçu pour être posé sur les genoux d'un utilisateur. Le plateau présente une surface magnétique destinée à recevoir une souris d'ordinateur comportant des aimants fixés à sa base. L'invention concerne également un procédé destiné à éviter qu'une souris d'ordinateur ne tombe d'un tapis de souris. Ledit procédé consiste à fixer au moins un aimant sur le côté inférieur de la souris, et à placer et utiliser cette souris sur un tapis de souris métallique.
