A method and system for providing automatic display of a prior order history to a customer over a computer network. Upon determination of the identity of a customer, a listing of all prior orders placed by the customer with a supplier is automatically retrieved from a database and displayed to the customer. Customers may then analyze, re-submit, or modify the order as a basis for future orders. This enables the commercial user to more accurately re-order materials or modify prior orders based upon changing needs. La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant l'affichage automatique d'un historique des commandes antérieures chez un client via un réseau informatique. Lors de la détermination de l'identité d'un client, une liste de toutes les commandes antérieures passées par ce client à un fournisseur est localisée automatiquement dans une base de données et affichée chez ce client. Les clients peuvent ensuite analyser, renouveler ou modifier la commande, point de départ pour des commandes futures. Ce procédé permet à l'utilisateur commercial de réassortir plus précisément des matériaux ou de modifier des commandes antérieures en fonction de contingences nouvelles.
