By providing for electronic communication of delivery status information between a variety of different carriers and the supplier's server, the supplier is able to provide online tracking information to a customer regardless of the individual manner of delivery. La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système de suivi, dans un réseau informatique, d'ordres placés chez un fournisseur et expédiés par un transporteur parmi divers autres transporteurs, le suivi s'effectuant entièrement dans les limites du site Web du fournisseur. En assurant des communications électroniques sous forme d'informations d'état de livraison entre divers transporteurs et le serveur du fournisseur, le fournisseur sera en mesure de fournir des informations de suivi en ligne à un client quelle que soit la manière particulière de livraison.
