Summary: | A ball pen designed to have an ink consumption of 0.64 to 1.6 mg per cm , which feels good in writing while attaining the rapid-drying properties of the ink transferred to a paper surface and the nondrying properties of the ink at the tip of the ball pen. The ball pen employs an ink in which the content of water has been regulated to a value in the range of from 30.0 to 80.0 wt. %, the content of a volatilization inhibitor has been regulated to a value in the range of from 0.1 to 10.0 wt. %, and the content of a sparingly volatile, water-soluble, liquid solvent has been regulated to a value in the range of from 1.0 to 40.0 wt. %.
