Summary: | An integrated passenger service unit (PSU) is disclosed. The integrated PSU includes a housing installable into an aircraft overhead panel and a control knob set into, and positionable relative to, the housing. The housing incorporates signage elements (e.g., fasten seat belts, no smoking) visible through its exterior surface, as well as reading lights and gasper outlets set thereinto (e.g., as adjacent segments of an annulus). Each reading light includes an LED array selectably configured to illuminate the corresponding seat, and each gasper outlet directs an airstream toward the seat. The housing includes a notification ring configured to illuminate when the passenger calls a flight attendant. A control knob is set within the housing and positionable relative thereto. The control knob incorporates an LCD display and user interface (Ul) which allows the occupant or passenger to view and adjust the status of the reading lights, gasper outlets, and notification ring. |
