Summary:The system has a pair of dry electrodes positioned at or near a head of a user (102) for detecting electroencephalogram (EEG) signals of the user. A sleep stage processor is disposed within a housing (108) for processing the EEG signals to determine a sleep stage of the user. One of the dry electrodes comprises a conductive fabric disposed in contact with skin of the user, where the dry electrodes serve as an electrical ground. A wake-up device is disposed within the housing for determining a wake-up time for the user based on the sleep stage of the user.
